Kudler Fine Foods is making a decision that will change the way its operations are managed. This decision is consists of initializing contract negotiations with local growers of organic produce. Operational changes have to be implemented in order for the company to satisfy its customers. All of the business processes at Kudler Fine Foods will be affected along with the supply chain. A revision of quality control tools is needed in order for the company to have affective operations policies. This move will affect different areas of the company’s business, purchasing, inventory management, forecasting merchandise selection and pricing. The demand for this type of foods by the customers will have to be a high priority.
Kudler’s competitiveness depends on their business process. Availability and delivery of the merchandise is crucial in today’s economy due to competitive markets. Kudler must be aware of the competition and the items and prices of their products and services.
Kudler Fine Foods must remain competitive and by re-evaluating the global competition and implement the necessary strategies and changes for global survival. Kudler already has a clientele base of customers due to their existing business that will cost them little to no money to advertise to them. With the use of existing customers Kudler will be able to get word out that they have started their catering business.
This type of change in consumer's diet has allowed companies like Kudler to provide these different types of food options. Before starting the catering service Kudler had decide to contract with local farmers for organic produce. As organic continue to gain popularity with consumers the sales potential will continue to increase.…...
