A description of time management A problem that I have trouble with is time management. I am always late for something, whether it is for a doctor appointment or class I am never on time. Managing my time effectively is an indication of doing what is most important for me. When a person does not accomplish what they actually want, they may feel confused, compromised, and frustrated. I try to use time management techniques that work for me, only to be disappointed in the long run. Often this is because I do not identify the goals that are most important to me and tackle the techniques toward those goals. Effective time management must include techniques for good prioritizing.

Effects of classroom structure on student achievement goal orientation [Electronic version]. Journal of Educational Research, 97(2), 106-111. In this article, Self-Brown and Matthews present an empirical study of varying classroom evaluative structures and the effect these structures have on students’ motivational goals orientation. The article opens by noting the past research surrounding learning environments and student motivation but quickly informs the reader of the minimal research in regards to classroom evaluation techniques on these motivations. This point identifies the problem and provides justification for the research study. The authors define motivational goals as either performance or learning in nature and characteristics of associated student behavior are detailed. Although not yet explicitly stated, it is obvious that performance and learning goals will be the dependent variables of the study. The literature review is primary in nature and details studies supporting the adoption of learning goals in favor of performance orientations as a means of greater academic achievement. The lack of research pertaining to the authors’ specific topic is well noted, but in concluding the literature review, one study (Ames, 1992c) does suggest alternative evaluative classroom methods to facilitate learning goals orientation, which in turn leads to......

To have the diversity on the team is great because if one person is strong in an area on the wheel they make up for someone that is weaker in that area. One of the challenges we could face is lack of communication, sometimes you can have too many talkers and not enough listeners. 3. It can be effective both positive and negative. Different personalities can clash or complement each other. If everyone has strong communication skills, and positive attitudes I think team work is a great experience. In life you are constantly faced with many situations where team building is a must. It can be from home to family or able to function on a job. 4. My lens was the: Results Lens and Reputation Lens. Personal Responsibilty

...Personal Responsibility and College Success GEN200 Personal Responsibility and College Success It is my belief that the correlation between personal responsibility and college success encompass all areas of my life. Even though teachers are there to teach me, implementing my personal responsibility values will ensure my college success by using solid time management strategies, identifying my goals, and managing my stress. Definition of Personal Responsibility Personal responsibility, to me, means being aware of my commitments, knowing what my resources are to follow through with those commitments, understanding my deficits, exploring ways to better them, and being active with my goal planning. My management of time and stress will be the two biggest hurdles to overcome. When I am considering how best to manage my time, I look at four specific areas: structuring time for my schoolwork, using an effective calendar, scheduling family time, and managing my stress. Dave Ellis(2011), author of Becoming a Master Student, summed it up so well by saying, “Time is an equal opportunity resource. All of us, regardless of gender, race, creed, or national origin, have exactly the same amount of hours in a week. No matter how famous we are, no matter how rich or poor, we get 168 hours to spend each week-no more, no less.” Relationship between Personal Responsibility and College Success The first step I took to evaluate my time was using......
