What is the decision facing Facebook.com? The decision that Facebook.com is currently facing is with its long-term future and the negative effect of increased commercialization. Basically the issue is that the facebook company does not have such a great source of income from facebook.com. Therefore, the company’s future does not seem to stay stable and to overcome this issue the company is thinking about advertising on the facebook.com. The only issue with that is what if the Facebook member can not tolerate all these ads. In which, a bigger issue will rise if the members stop using facebook because then there will be no income at all! For example, some ways that facebook is getting income is by people buying gift credits, buying chip packages for poker, and some from advertising. Even though there is more, it does not fulfill the need to run the company since it takes tons of memory space to keep everyone’s information in.

What factors are important in understanding this decision situation? The factors that are important in understanding the decision situation are extremely straight forward. The company needs to find a way to earn money in a manner that will not affect the users of facebook negatively. Basically saying that they need to get some advertising going on facebook.com for some income. However, the company must keep in mind that this does not affect the users. Another factor that is important is the privacy of each facebook member. Ethically all the client’s (members) information should be kept confidential. That is the reason that the user became a member in the first place, so they may have their private information for people that they know.
