Business plan April 2010

What is the product ? Burundi coffee is unknown at international market. This is not because coffee growers cannot produce a good quality; it is simply because the coffee produced is not processed to meet the market standards. Burundi coffee company will work with coffee growers to produce specialty coffee by using high quality standards in the processing of the coffee cherry then market it to roasters in the US and Europe.

What is the market size? Statistics from the International coffee organization show that there is a decrease in the coffee export in the year 2010 compared to year 2009. “World coffee exports amounted to 7.1 million bags in February 2010, compared with 8.7 million in February 2009. Exports in the first 5 months of coffee year 2009/10 (Oct/09 to Feb/10) have decreased by nearly 11% to 35.6 million bags compared to 40 million bags in the same period in the last coffee year. In the twelve months ending February 2010, exports of Arabica totaled 59.4 million bags compared to 63.8 million bags last year; whereas Robusta exports amounted to 33.2 million bags compared to 34.4 million bags"1. This shows that there is a big demand on the market even thought the prices have been affected by the global economic downturn. BCEC will work with a Switzerland company (SCHLUTER sa) specialized in coffee export to Europe and USA market. BCEC expected production capacity is far less than what SCHLUTER needs. What are the startup costs? The set up one mini washing station requires $20,000. The target is to establish ten washing stations with the total cost of $200,000. An additional S300,000 is required for working cash flow. To finance the start-up costs we intend to seek initial capital of $470,000 from venture capitalists and

Ford Motor Company Business Plan

...FortFORD MOTOR COMPANY BUSINESS PLAN SUBMITTED TO THE SENATE BANKING COMMITTEE December 2, 2008 INTRODUCTION Ford Motor Company welcomes the opportunity to submit our Plan to the Senate Banking Committee, and appreciates the time and attention Congress is devoting to the critical issues that confront the domestic automotive industry in the current economic environment. In this submission, we first provide an overview of the current business environment, then discuss our Plan for viability, and conclude by answering the specific questions posed in the correspondence received from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. We all have a shared interest in protecting American jobs, a vital American industry and American innovation. As the Committee knows so well, the ongoing economic and credit crisis has affected many Americans – from losing their jobs to losing their homes. The recession also has had very negative ramifications for the U.S. auto industry, which supports five million jobs in all 50 states and spends $12 billion annually on research and development in the U.S. – more than any other industry. We fully appreciate that the industry needs to transform itself to better compete by developing safer, greener and even better quality vehicles. We recognize Congress’ important role as guardian of the American taxpayers, and we hope in our submission that we address your valid concerns about our potential for future viability and......
